I wanted to like Fes, Morocco, but just could not. While I met many wonderful Moroccans in Fes, they were greatly outnumbered by mostly young men trying to scam 50 cents or a dollar, or locals yelling “No Fotos” as soon as they saw a camera. Surprisingly, I found the scammers to be less prevalent in Marrakesh and elsewhere in Morocco. Despite all this, I did find Fes photogenic!
