The view into the upper basin. Our route is below the cliffs of Dragontail Pk, on the left.
Rodica and Ian, gain the first 1000' toward the col
An amazing swath of dirty avalanche debris. I have never seen debris so dirty. I am expecting it probably came off the top part of the mountain, taking lots of dirt and rock with it.
The upper basin. Marla's group headed toward Dragontail is just barely visible on the left center!
We could not help but to want to climb next to the debris
That is a lot of avalanche!!
Marla's group, about to break into to the dark side!
Headed onto the Colchuck glacier
Chris and a couple from my group head up from the lake
Lone climber, headed to the Colchuck Col
Now, above the col, headed toward the Colchuck summit
You can see the tiny images of Marla's group, headed up Dragontail.
On the summit!
A perch with a view!
